O the symbolism in this one

Kudos to anyone who can get more than five ;)

This is the first time I've ever drawn Naraku and I have to
say that I really like how he turned out (must love the hair  )

Inunomaru c) me
Naraku c) Rumiko Takahashi

symbolism:
1. Dark vs. Light/Good Vs. Evil

2. Bound vs. Unbound hair. Unbound hair is usually connected with being loose or free while bound hair is more equivalent to being cultured or uptight.

3. real power vs. fake power. The Shikon no Tama in Naraku's hand could be a symbolism of fake or tainted power. Then your character Inunomaru is only armed with his own power and weapons.

4. Warrior vs. Nobleman. Inuomaru is dressed in armor while Naraku is not painting the Inu as a warrior and Naraku as a 'nobleman' (they obviously are not farming clothing). Knowing the anime you could also argue that because Naraku is a trickster he has no need for armor. He is never in any danger while Inunomaru needs the armor because he is out on the front lines. (so to speak)

5. Inunomaru's hands are both pointing up while Narkau's are both pointing down... That might be stretching some symbolism, but one is pointing toward heaven while the other is pointing to hell.

6. There is ying and yang but that kinda goes with light/dark, balance and all that.

7. And they do kinda make a heart....IDK if that is on purpose or not.
